The long awaited follow-up from famed Zylos fashion designer and photographer George Machado ("Masculine") is here in 200 hand-toned glorious pages of the male figure. Machado's exquisite eye captures four incomparable men in lush exotic locales. This deluxe coffee table book was printed in Italy and features both vintage Hollywood fashions as well as cutting-edge designer clothes and male nudes. This 1998 book is limited to only 6,000 copies and is quickly on its way to being a collector's item for any lover of photography, travel, fashion. . .or men.

From the Author

"This book was a labor of love," says photographer George Machado, who also styled the period costumes as well. "From choosing the four perfect guys to picking the right clothes and shooting them in four gorgeous locations, the end result is a dream realized. Basically, I wanted to do a photography book that hadn't been done before. I wanted each model's chapter to tell a visual story about beauty, solitude and sensuality. Each chapter was hand-toned differently to tell the story, but there is a common thread that runs between one model's story to the next."

From the Inside Flap

Four incomparable men. Four exotic locations. A visual fantasy in a deluxe limited edition volume. From the sensuousness of Morocco, to the island paradise of the tropics, these four top models take you on a journey you won't soon forget. FOUR MEN is the follow up work by menswear designer/photographer George Machado, whose first book MASCULINE won critical acclaim and fans worldwide. George Machado lives in Hollywood, California.

About the Author

With this book, George Machado has combined his work in both fashion and photography. His Zylos/George Machado collection of neckwear, tailored clothing, formal wear, coats, hoisery, boxer shorts and belts is sold in department stores across the nation. The designer has won both the Golden Shears Award and the Marty Award for excellence in apparel design.

After years of designing the clothes that were modeled in front of the camera, Machado picked up his own camera in 1990. What began as a hobby grew into a second career. His striking black-and-white and hand-toned images of the male figure were compiled in 1995 for his first book, MASCULINE (Crown/Random House), which quickly sold out. He was the photographer of the 1997 best-selling calendar of supermodel Scott Kuhagen. And his many photographs of celebrities are seen in publications around the globe.

The San Diego native currently lives in the Hollywood Hills and is working on his next book project. When he isn't behind the camera or executing the next collection for Zylos, Machado can be found frequenting flea markets and estate auctions.
